Here, we work on projects of massive scale, develop and build great systems, and produce quick and accurate solutions to challenging problems. We make it a point to match projects with our employees’ background and interests. Google engineers are experts in C/C++, Java, AJAX and HTML and focus on these key areas:

Based out of Hyderabad, the Online team is made up of teams working in Global Ad operations, User Operations & Policy and Online Sales.
Our talented teams are dedicated to supporting the company’s expanding base of advertisers, publishers and users globally. Our teams are passionate about keeping the Google network clean by fighting spam, fraud and generating revenue through scalable account management and other sales interventions from a broad range of products such as AdWords, AdSense, and Gmail.
Engineering at Google Hyderabad primarily has two focus areas: Software Engineering and Engineering Productivity. The Engineering Productivity function is focused on building and test infrastructure, developer tools, release tools and process, testing, documentation, training, and internationalization. We collaborate closely with Engineering teams across Google’s distributed engineering offices to “accelerate” Google by focusing on all issues that impact productivity.
The Software Engineering team develops applications and cloud infrastructure for Google customers. Handling information in the cloud at the scale of the web requires our engineers to work on information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, security, data compression, user interface design etc. This requires our engineers to constantly innovate on everything from massively scaling systems to solving search quality, securing enterprise data and providing a great user experience.
Our Software Engineering focus is in the following areas:
Cloud Services/Infrastructure: Google Apps like Gmail, Calendar, and Google Docs are being adopted massively across businesses and users for personal use. We are solving challenging problems of on-boarding massive amounts of user data/context to the cloud, APIs for deploying/managing cloud services/data, analytics/data mining and electronic discovery. We are working on the next generation cloud platform architecture that provides interoperability, virtualization and systems management for software applications and services.
Enterprise Search: We are working on the Enterprise search appliance, the size of three pizza boxes called Google Search Appliance, that is powerful enough to deliver the most relevant information consistently and efficiently, whenever and wherever it’s needed with minimal administrative overhead and intelligible user interface.
Google Hyderabad has the same scope of work, hiring standards, and unique Google culture as many of our other offices. There is constant focus on innovation and continuous improvement, as well as flexibility and freedom combined with responsibility.
If you are proactive, motivated, organized, responsible – and able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment then you would fit right in. Please review our open positions to find the right one for you.
